The male population increased from 17.1 million to 17.3 million as compared to the third quarter of 2021 while females increased from 15.5 million to 15.6 million in the same period, the Department of Statistics Malaysia said in a statement. A total of 50,276 deaths was recorded in the third quarter, a decrease of 31.7 percent as compared to 73,606 a year earlier.
